Brazilian Agribusiness: An Investment Opportunity

Modern, efficient and competitive, the Brazilian Agribusiness is a safe, prosperous and profitable activity. With a diversified climate, regular rains, plentiful solar energy and almost 13% of Earth drinkable water, Brazil has 388 millions hectares of high productivity lands, of which 90 millions have not being explored thus far.

These factors turn Brazil to a natural place for Agricultural and all business related to its productive chain. Today, the Agribusiness is one of the main drivers of Brazilian economy and is responsible for one of each three dollars generated in the country.

Brazil is one of the world leaders on production and exportation of agribusiness products. It is the first producing and exporting country of coffee, sugar, alcohol and fruit juices. Besides that, Brazil leads the external sales ranking of soy, bovine meat, chicken meat, tobacco, leather and leathers shoes.

Projections indicate that Brazil will also be, in short time, the main producer of cotton and biofuels, generated from cane sugar and vegetable oil. Corn, rice, dry fruits, cocoa, nuts, besides pigs and fishes are also highlighted on Brazilian agribusiness which employs 17,7 millions of field workers.

MODERNIZATION
The good exportation performance of the sector and the growing offer of jobs on the productive chain can not be only devoted to Brazilian Agribusiness. The scientific and technological development and the modernization of the rural activity, obtained trough research and machinery expansion, equally contributed to transform Brazil into one of the most respected countries on Agricultural business.

It is obviously, however, that the privileged climate, fertile soil, the abundance of water and the unmatchable biodiversity, gives Brazil a singular condition to agricultural development and to all activities related to agribusiness. The country is one of the few where you can harvest and create animals in both temperate and tropical areas. Blessed by the nature, Brazilian Agricultural can obtain even two annual harvests of grains, while the livestock extends trough the fields of Mato Grosso, the largest swamped plain of the world.

With a population higher than 170 millions, Brazil is one of the biggest consumption markets of the world. Today, 80% of Brazilian production of food is consumed internally and only 20% is exported for more than 209 countries. Brazil sold more than 1.800 different products to foreign markets. Besides the usual importers, such as Europe, U.S.A. and Mercosul countries (Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay), Brazil has increased its sales from agribusiness to markets of Asia, Middle East and Africa.
